Mélo Eatery is the newest addition to Calgary’s food scene by award winning Chef Duncan Ly. Mélo combines classic and contemporary elements of French cuisine in a modern, energetic environment. The restaurant features local and seasonally sourced ingredients in combination with a carefully curated wine list.
Mélo Eatery gets its name from the French saying “méli-mélo” which means a mixture, hodgepodge or assortment. Méli-mélo in French cuisine is usually a name included in dishes that use contrasting, but well-matched tastes, textures, and colors in foods that are served in the same dish. In our restaurant, that translates to a delicious mix of top quality meats, fresh vegetables, and all the trimmings.
